Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
