'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
